UNPLUG

UNPLUG is a short one-button game about crossing a room to disconnect a hostile vacuum cleaner before its overheating core explodes.

Hold Space, the mouse button, or the on-screen button to advance. Release to automatically block with the pot lid. Read the vacuum’s attacks, protect your health, and reach the power strip before the countdown reaches zero.

The vacuum has three attack patterns:

• Sock Jam — a stuck sock is launched across the room

• Dust Dump — dust and debris are scattered in a wide area

• Charge — the vacuum rushes directly toward the player

DESIGNER'S NOTE

This game is about approaching a dangerous machine while managing one limited resource: health.

I wanted one action—advancing—to become tense through readable attacks and an escalating explosion deadline.

PLAYTEST NOTE

One player initially missed the vacuum’s explosion countdown, so I moved the timer closer to the enemy and strengthened the final warning state.
